Hello, my name is Kelby Lutzker. Welcome to my blog for Writing 105M. In this section I will talk a little bit about my life, who I am, and what I want to do. First, I am 22 years old and a senior at UCSB. I am majoring in Communication and I have a 3.33 GPA. I am thinking about attending graduate school, but probably not until a few years of working to figure out my path. I am interested in entertainment media. I played guitar in a band for seven years and I have done some writing for screen plays and books. In order to follow this path, I am working to get an internship this quarter through the UCSB Carsey Wolf Center. I am not originally from California. I lived in Westport Connecticut for the first 9 years of my life before I moved to Newbury Park, CA. I still live in Newbury Park today and commute a two hour round trip to school every day I have class. In terms of hobbies I love to play guitar. I played in a metal band for seven years and still jam with friends all the time. I also love to watch animated comedies like Family Guy, The Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, etc. I am very interested in fitness. I recently lost over 60lbs and I have been consistently exercising 3-5 days/ week for the last 15 months. I am a boxer and I have trained a bit in MMA, but as of right now I am working at becoming a power lifter (kind of). I also love to travel. I have been on many cruises and trips to Mexico, Canada, etc. and I absolutely loved it! I really want to go on a vacation to Japan eventually though because I love Japanese culture, food, and entertainment. Well, that's a brief introduction to my life. I hope I get to know all of you from the class.
